Indie Game Funding Is a Nightmare | Devlog #35

My plan to secure funding for my dream game goes astray when awarded a government grant tied to a dubious funding agreement fraught with legal contradictions and worrying long-term ramifications for my intellectual property.

In 2022, Screen Australia, the Australian Federal Government's key funding body for the screen production industry, awarded 4 million dollars in development grants to 31 games as part of the Games: Expansion Pack fund. One of these games was my game, Project Feline. We worked hard to get selected. But once we were in, we quickly realised this grant was not what it seemed. In this devlog, I’ll be telling you the story of how I got Project Feline in and out of one of the worst deals I’ve ever seen.

Good Lesson. Your father was right to save your team of sign to this trap commercial copy, in this constellation many times and als did one own agreement to let them to sign in. 2 Contracts schould be both sides, so game dev collab together offer your terms, to explain 2 parts ( one part form offer and add the client as part combine  all in one agreement) communicate 2 sides, because they go far from law, this could be everywhere next. let say a project/job (client part what expect from company, and company offer  part) if obligations not without limit exlusions options with a amount 200% (or 3 years later share 30% for 4 years) to buy out it free  of rest contract in peace. keep share xp, all business together with gaming, simple temlates, double sides agreements/record deals, notary, how far the world goes the development to democracy
